Founded in 2014, the Horizon Air Group was established to provide the business aviation world with a standard bearer in service, client satisfaction, and real-world aviation experience. With established divisions in charter, management, and aircraft sales, Horizon has positioned itself as a definitive leader in the private aviation industry.
Luis Barros has over 10 years of experience in the private aviation industry. From his firsthand working knowledge, he draws on operational and safety-focused best practices for every charter trip Horizon Air Group provides.
Beginning his aviation career at a local county airport led him to learning directly under the Director of the Ohio State Airport during coursework toward a degree in Aviation Management. From there, he went on to dispatch for a large Part 135 operator for several years before taking on charter sales duties.
He quickly became the top salesperson and ventured into end-user sales before relocating to Texas to establish and grow one of the largest charter sales groups in the central US. After years of success building, training, and managing aviation executives, Luis founded the Horizon Air Group where he could ensure his company truly focused on industry-leading service and customer satisfaction.
Randall’s passion for aviation began at a young age, earning his private pilot’s license at 17. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in the aviation program, he worked as a flight instructor in California building flight time before becoming a corporate pilot. Randall has flown a number of aircraft over the years logging over 3,000 flight hours and earning multiple type ratings in various types of business jets, all before the age of 29.
Beginning in 2011, he served as Director of Aircraft Management for a large charter management company, where he was responsible for growing the company’s aircraft management fleet from 8 aircraft to almost 30.
Randall also brings a wealth of international sales and leasing experience having lead negotiations with the largest business jet operator in Asia resulting in a strategic alliance and partnership for the lease of multiple Gulfstream aircraft.
Randall’s childhood friendship with Rob Rosenberg and later business relationship with Luis Barros led his aviation career to Horizon. Now as President of Horizon Aircraft Sales, Randall brings a tremendous amount of aviation experience to the Horizon team, and facilitates the acquisition, refurbishment, and sale of business aircraft on the global market.
After graduating with a degree as a Division 1 athlete from the University of South Carolina, Rob went into his family business where he honed his sales and management skills for 7 years. With a desire to explore new challenges after the family business was sold, Rob entered the private aviation industry where he quickly became one of the top charter sales executives in the Central US. After rising to a Sales Director position, he continued looking for ways to expand his reach within aviation & the private charter industry.
