Congress is affecting private flyers

Congress has affected private flyers. Congress passed the 2020 Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act (P.L. 116-136) includes tax provisions that affect business aircraft operators. This affecting private flyers indirectly. Operators will experience a tax holiday extending until the end of the calendar year 2020. The Federal Excise Tax (FET) does not need to be collected on amounts paid for charter Flight, or any other flights. It matters not if the flights are conducted under FAA Regulations Part 91, 135 or otherwise. (NBAA)
